  • Time for a Grilling.

G,day. I have been cleaning paint and crap from my grill. This is the early egg crate style. Having never seen another in the flesh I was wondering if they were originally painted or clear.
On the subject of cleaning and stripping paint from this plastic I have found oven cleaner to do wonders. This is the cheap spray type from Woolworths. Also cleans alloy engine parts

What colour did your grille have on it?

If I remember the honeycomb grilles, it's not a paint but the plastic seems to be cream colour itself, so somebody may have painted it.

Thanks....The grill had been hand painted with what looks like cream house paint. It was when I started stripping this off and found no colour under it that I thought maybe there was no colour originally. Looks to be frosted type finish with polished top and bubbles.
