  • What plugs and leads for 1GGTE

    just looking at giving the old 1G a quick tune, just wondering which Plugs and Leads are best suited for the 1G-GTE.

    NGK-BCPR6EP and gap them to 0.8.

    Not sure on leads.

    Some more random things:

    Spark Plugs (require 17mm socket to remove):
    ND (NipponDenso) - PQ20R-P8
    NGK - BCPR6EP-N-8
    Denso K20PRU1

    Oil Filter:
    Toyota - 15801-44011
    Ryco - Z418 (same as ST-185 3S-GTE, 7M-GE, Lexus LS200)
    Valvoline - V022 (same as V6 Camry)

    Oil (engine):
    Mobil 1

    Coolant (engine):

    Injectors:
    Denso (?) 23250-70040 - yellow top, top feed (no barb) ("7F19" on other side from part number)

          just went to get one of the plugs out and snapped in half so thats not good, how to i gap them to a certain spot, hell noob question but o well

                To set the gap you need to get yourself whats called a feeler gauge it has multiple sized tabs so say you need 0.8 gap you wip out that size and stick it between the gap and gently tap the end down onto it so you get the right size any supercheap or repco will have them.

                  i run magnecore custom made 8mm leads. And also using NGK BCPR5EP, I havent gapped them though.
                  I found when i ran 6's they fouled and got black really quickly, now the 5's dont seem to foul at all.
                  I run about 1 bar boost by the way.
