  • Fuel pump

Hey looking for some guidance in how to check that my fuel pump is working. Immobilizer may be possibly cutting it off, but was wondering if there is any way to test it directly as am not sure whether the immobilizer is cutting it off, or whether the pump isn't working. Thanks

    Two Ways :

    1. Remove the Boot Carpet, Remove the Fuel Sender Cover on the Chassis, Disconnect the Plug then power the Pump Directly.

    2. Give Power to the FP Terminal on the Diagnostic Connector/Box.

Ok, just by bridging the B+ and FP in the diagnostic box, the car will now start and run. But when the bridging is removed, it cuts out (no fuel?) ? Any ideas?

Fault in your fuel pump circuit or not wired correctly.

Is it bad to have the fuel pump constantly bridged through the diagnostic box? or will I need to trace wires/check and rewire the circuit?

The car will run fine like that, but those pins are only for testing, if by any chance your test wire falls off the car will lean out and turn off.
