me and a couple of friends have been lookin into startin something similar....
more of a service/wreckers/customs/elecs/exhausts
open to everyone....
but specialize in/focus on z20/a70 and maybe z10 even
but basically your 1 stop z20 workshop
start buying 1/2 cuts and wrecks doing restores etc...
realistically it wont be up and running till dec-feb at least
been looking at locations etc...
will be s.e. melb. based
once you have abn. and shit u can order custom parts etc. made up....

**anyone who can get stuff done at/through work, fam and mates etc. ill buy bulk and keep stock if its priced right.....**

interior parts already taken care of but open to offers....
can get redone like og emblems and/or custom....
(or z20.org and Soarer embroided in og shagpile even... can be done)
gear stick boots no problem....
it just depends on how much $ and personal taste....

once i know exact prices and have a samples ill post and see if any of u guys can beat the price i get it for....
if u can, then ill just get through you guys and vice-versa
(cheapest price on best quality only, not lookin for shit stuff)

wheater its in anyway assosiated to here or not it will be open next year...
(i was (the company) going to offer to sponser z20.org once it was up and running)
if z20.org get a storefront here ill use it rather than ebay for parts sales....

im doing this cause IM FUKN SICK OF CHASIN THE SHIT myself.....
when i first got my z20 i took it 3 places b4 someone would even pop the hood...
parts are even worse, wreckers actually laugh at me when i ring...
may even try stock or strike up a deal/account to stock/sell kits.....(ie. do-luck)
load containers full of z20 gear from japan and bring it over was one of my ideas....

anyone with help/advice/knowledge will be appreciated

you have hit the nail on the head with that one. for quite some time i have been wanting to bring one in and copy it. i think as a mandate, any profits made by the online storefront will go into purchasing a master kit for this and professionally making a mould of it. at least we know if we make the fresh mould off an original we are getting a high quality base to manufacture 'replicas' off for around 1/3 of the price of the original.

the club is non-profit, and is registered with the ATO as such, but any money made on top will go into R&D on things like this.. just so i'm totally transparent with everyone on this.

id be lookin for purim rather than fiberglass for a body kit....
would be expensive but for around same price double quality...
heres my a4 with a purim/resin kit
more flex and stronger than fiberglass

if i knew of the existance and availabilty of z20 do luck kit i woulda got 1 a LONG TIME AGO.....
compared to audi kits theyre DIRT CHEAP
i paid 8k after customs and gst
the front bar on my car was made by uberhouse at the request of LLTEK motorsports to produce a STRONGER front.... the rest is reiger
in a low speed/soft impact this stuff doesnt crack....

i might end up relocating interstate if it dsoesnt work in vic
perth was an option but the balls rolling in melb

on the kit... if you go all out on an EXTREMLY GOOD mould itll produce good parts......
if you cheappilly/dodgy up/rush a mould the parts will come out in need of more attn and end up costing more per part.
also the better the mould the more parts itll make before needing to be remade....
ive seen alot of places in melb producing cheap parts....
most BIG NAME kits are made with more attention to the mould and materiels used...

either way even if a kit is bought... maybe get a pool of people together right, kinda like share holders, everyone pays for the kit, and a pro to make a mould, then kits could be sold off and pay the people back who paid for the master kit and the moulds in the first place.. then the mould and master kit would make its own money to support itself.. then it doesnt become profitable..

just a thought

Not sure if it's worth investigating, but i could ship stuff from europe to you guys, like R154 Gearboxes or stuff like that, since those are stupidly expensive at your place.. i can get a R154 with M bellhouse for like 200 euro's here. In england, the used car market had died the last year or so, so over there, it's all insanely cheap check out ebay.co.uk and have a look.
