Default w58 on 7m ?

Prompt please w58 it was put on 7? Has reflected to make wap the automatic transmition on mechanics but r154 it is expensive also a bell very difficult to find

I'm pretty sure you can do it but you will definitely need a custom bellhousing and custom tailshaft

actually.. I suspect you may be able to use a gz20 w58 box with a mz10 or ma61 manual bellhousing as i think the w55, w57 and w58 housings are the same.. (someone want to verify this for of?). You then should theoretically be able to use the gz20 front tailshaft as well. You may need to change the speedo sender and torque converter to a 7m one as well.

we will search.... At us here to find boxes not a problem and here a bell and a flywheel under 7м in general it is unreal

ma70 supras came with w58's also, not sure what W series the ma61 had but if it was a 55 or 57 they are physically the same, just the ratios are different and the w58 came out with an alloy case+steel sandwich plate. So a bellhousing from either will be fine.

Although some W5X's gearboxs had different shifter locations so you would have to make sure its from a soarer or supra.

You want the bellhousing from an MA61, MZ11/12 or MA70 non turbo.

Then that bellhousing will bolt to an M series motor and you can use any alloy cased W series gearbox, W55, W57, W58 or W59.

Just make sure you get a rear position shifter box for the Z20. The MA61/MZ11/12 will have a front shifter which sits too far forward for the Z20/A70 chassis.

Basically, find an old celica/supra or soarer with a 2.8 or 3.0l motor, non turbo, and manual, then rip it to shreds and sell/swap the gearbox (without bellhousing) for the box you want.

Or see if you can find a non turbo MA70 manual as that will all be perfectly to swap straight in.

Remember as well if you run the W box then you need to use a different clutch as the 7M-GTE and R154 use a pull type clutch setup.
